Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (GRASAC) is a registered charity that supports anyone who has experienced or who is experiencing rape and/or sexual violence. We provide emotional and practical support to survivors of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse, including advocacy and support groups. We are proud to support people of all genders and recognise in particular the impact sexual violence has on women and girls.

The role of an ISVA is to provide practical and emotional support, information and advocacy to survivors of sexual violence through the criminal justice process. The postholder will provide a safe and trauma-informed response to victims, ensuring that they understand their rights and the options open to them. Though their support is principally focused on the criminal justice system, ISVAs will link clients in with additional support from other agencies to ensure that all their identified support needs are met. Accredited ISVA training will be provided to undertake the role successfully with a comprehensive induction programme.
